Discover Tasmania app
The Discover Tasmania app enhances the on-ground experience of visitors in Tasmania by helping them discover things to do, events and services relevant to their location and interests.
The app enables users to build an itinerary filled with events, accommodation, activities, places to see, and great things to eat and drink. It also provides real-time updates, informing visitors of available experiences and tips, relevant to their location.

Key Information
- - Compatible with iOS and Android devices. Download from Apple App Store and Google Play.
- - To be included on the app, register your business for free on the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW).
- - Launched in April 2023, the app has been downloaded 100,000-plus times as of February 2025.
- - Supported by an ongoing paid media campaign targeting interstate visitors awaiting their holiday and arriving in or travelling around Tasmania. Subscribe to the Tourism Tasmania newsletter for updates about the app.

When a visitor downloads the Discover Tasmania app, they can:
- Enhance their Tasmanian adventure with recommendations for the best places to eat and drink, outdoor and adventure activities, road trips, events, workshops, tours and accommodation nearby.
- See distances, estimated travel times and driving directions between itinerary stops.
